Dr. Carr oversees emergency and critical care services at CVS' Murrieta facility. She has practiced exclusively as an emergency/critical care clinician since 1988. Prior to becoming a partner in CVS, Dr. Carr was Director of the Emergency Pet Clinic in Temecula, California from its inception in 1992 until 2000 where she was responsible for its day to day operations.&nbsp;<br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" /><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" />Dr. Carr holds a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota where she also received a Bachelor of Arts in Latin.<br />- <b>Amy Carr, DVM</b>

<p style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">Dr. Schultz is a staff emergency and critical care doctor at California Veterinary Specialists.&nbsp; Prior to joining CVS, Dr. Schultz performed a rotating internship in emergency medicine, surgery, internal medicine, and exotic medicine at VCA Emergency Hospital and Referral Center in San Diego, California.</p>

Dr. Hoggan is a staff emergency room clinician and critical care doctor for CVS. She takes special pride in her ability to connect with patients and explain medical treatments and diagnosis on a feeling level and has been in private practice with an emphasis in emergency medicine since graduation. Her areas of interest include the human animal bond, emergency medicine and critical care.&nbsp;<br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" /><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" />Dr. Hoggan graduated Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University. Dr. Simmons is a graduate of U. C. Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She obtained post-graduate training in Emergency and Critical Care medicine in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since then she has practiced emergency medicine in San Diego and Fresno, prior to joining the staff at CVS in Murrieta. <p style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">Dr.&nbsp;Fang&nbsp;is a staff emergency room clinician and critical care doctor at California Veterinary Specialists' Murrieta facility.&nbsp;Born in Taiwan and raised in Southern California, he earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of California, Davis in 2009 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. After completing an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at CVS, he welcomed the opportunity to remain with CVS' emergency service.</p>

Following graduation from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University, Dr. Herndon completed internship training at the Ryan Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Pa. He finished residency training in cardiology at the Veterinary Referral Center, Little Falls, N.J., and the Ryan Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Pa. His areas of interest include hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, therapy of heart failure, diastolic dysfunction, and electrophysiology.&nbsp;<br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" /><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" />Dr. Herndon is a board certified cardiologist and provides full service cardiovascular diagnostics and therapeutics-including pacemaker implantation, balloon valvuloplasty, and coil occlusion for patent ductus arteriosus. He is a featured consultant in cardiology on the Veterinary Information Network (VIN).&nbsp;<br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" /><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" />Dr. Herndon is conducting clinical research to develop blood tests for dogs and cats that may aid in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. <p>Dr. Proulx is head of radiation oncology and a member of Angel Care Cancer Center at California Veterinary Specialists (CVS). His areas of expertise within oncology include both medical and radiation oncology. Prior to joining CVS, Dr. Proulx completed a small animal internship at North Carolina State University. After completing a medical oncology residency in 2003 and a radiation oncology residency in 2005, also at North Carolina State University, he earned board certification as a specialist in medical oncology and radiation oncology. During this training Dr. Proulx also earned a Master's Degree in Specialized Veterinary Medicine.<br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" /><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" />Dr. Proulx earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University. <span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">Dr. Ogilvie, who leads CVS oncology services, is considered one of profession's leading experts on veterinarian care and research.&nbsp;<br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" /><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" />Prior to joining CVS, Dr. Ogilvie worked to develop new, innovative cancer therapies at the prestigious French medical school, Universit&eacute; Fran&ccedil;ois Rabelais in Tours. His time in France was preceded by a 16-year tenure as professor, internist, head of medical oncology and director of the medical oncology research laboratory at Colorado State University.&nbsp;<br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" /><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" />In addition to authoring two books, Dr. Ogilvie has been a past winner of the annual Veterinarian of the Year award from both the American Veterinarian Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association. He has been awarded $5 million in research grants in the last five years, as well as the first nationally and internationally patented nutritional formula that can be used to control cancer and enhance quality of life.&nbsp;<br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" /><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" />Dr. Ogilvie received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University and completed a residency at Tufts University's Angell Memorial Animal Hospital. Dr. Bennett is an internal medicine specialist as California Veterinary Specialists. She has a special interest in endocrinology, and she is dedicated to state of the art medicine, client communication and patient care.<br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" /><br style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;" />Dr. Bennett has authored several original research and journal articles as well as topic chapters in a widely used veterinary reference textbook. She has enjoyed working and lecturing in countries such as Morrocco, Macedoina and Japan. She earned a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1999. While working as a general practitioner, Dr. Bennett completed certification training in animal acupuncture which she used to successfully alleviate chronic pain in older arthritic and neurologic patients. Dr. Brook Niemiec is a 1994 graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. He became a Fellow in the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry in March 2000 and attained board certification in Veterinary Dentistry in April 2002. He is the chief of Staff of Southern California Veterinary Dental Specialties with offices in San Diego and Murrieta, California. Dr. Niemiec has published numerous articles as well as lectured extensively at the local, state, national and international levels. Dr. Niemiec currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Veterinary Dental Society and is chair of the examination committee for the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry. While in vet school she received several scholarships and also became certified in veterinary acupuncture. Upon graduation she completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship in Northern California. Dr. Aniya joined the Animal Dermatology Clinic as an Associate in 2009 and achieved her Diplomate status in 2010. In addition to seeing cases in San Diego and Northern California, she travels several times a year to see dermatology cases in Hawaii.</span><br style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;" /><br style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;" /><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">When not at work Dr. Aniya is busy taking care of her 3 dogs and 2 cats.
